State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder has distributed health protection materials among members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Mirpur division.

These include 200 bottles of hand sanitisers and 500 pairs of hand gloves.

Kamal handed over all these to DMP Deputy Commissioner (Mirpur division) Mostak Ahmed at the Mohana Television office in Mirpur on Sunday.

The materials were distributed at the initiative of Manipur High School and College located in Mirpur. The hand sanitisers were prepared according to the World Health Organisation's formula in the laboratory of the educational institute.

Deputy Commissioner Mostak Ahmed said, "In the event of coronavirus outbreak, this health protection equipment will motivate the police members to perform their duties properly and to provide services to the people."

Manipur High School and College Principal Mohammad Farhad Hossain said, "In the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus, 3,000 bottles of hand sanitisers were prepared and distributed among the people for free."

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pallabi Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Commissioner Firoz Kausar, and local Awami League leaders were present on the occasion.
