3000 more Rohingyas to be relocated to Bhashan Char on Friday

Another 3,000 Rohingyas will be shifted from Cox's Bazar to Bhashan Char on Friday, in the third phase of the relocation process.
Sources at the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner said that the Rohingyas will start their journey from Cox's Bazar by bus on Thursday morning.

Additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Mohammad Shamsuddouza confirmed the matter to the Business Standard.
Earlier, a total of 3,446 Rohingyas were relocated to the island in two phases on December 4 and 29 respectively.
Md Rashedul Islam, in-charge at Kutupalong Camp-2, said, "Some 559 Rohingyas from 130 families have voluntarily agreed to be relocated to Bhasan Char. They along with Rohingyas of other camps will start for the island on Thursday. We have already made all necessary arrangements in this regard."
