Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday warned that those, who were involved in Companiganj clash, would not be spared.
"Drive is underway to arrest accused people," Obaidul Quader made the remarks during a council of Joypurhat's Akkelpur Awami League today morning. He joined the programme virtually from his official residence.
"There is no possibility of exempting anyone from charges of irregularities, corruption and anti-disciplinary activities," the Awami League general secretary said, adding, "Instructions have been given to the Anti-Corruption Commission and law enforcement agencies in this regard."
A man was shot dead and more than 50 people were injured in Tuesday's factional clash of the ruling Awami League at Basurhat of Noakhali's Companiganj upazila.
