The Police in Satkhira have started using drones to stop social gatherings in Satkhira.

The district's Kalaroa Police Station started using drones on Friday morning to take pictures and videos of places where social gatherings took place violating the social distancing norms.

Officer-in-charge of the police station Sheikh Munir-ul-Ghias said the use of drones had been initiated under the direction of the Superintendent of Police Md Mostafizur Rahman to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The Police have said after identifying people through drones, strict actions would be taken against them.

Md Mostafizur Rahman said the initiative would continue. He advised people to stay at home to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
