Awami League General Secretary, also the Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader has said the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's ongoing purge inside the party has set an example in the political history of the country.

"Awami League will not compromise on corruption," he made the remark during a view exchange meeting with reporters at Feni Circuit House today.

The minister further added there was no objection over the verdict of the Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.

An Awami League leader was one of the accused in the murder case, he was sentenced to death too.

"Political identities cannot save criminals from being punished," the senior Awami League leader added.

He also claimed there was no visible development in the country during the regime of BNP.

"BNP leaders are taking advantage of their Chairperson Khaleda Zia's physical condition," he alleged. "Doctors' reports are different from what BNP presented about her health."

Regarding the Rohingya issue, he said, "They have to leave, international pressures are increasing. The Myanmar government is under pressure from all sides."
