Awami leader Enamul remanded in graft case

A Dhaka court today granted 4-day remand to Enamul Haque Enu, the vice president of Gendaria Awami League, in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission over undisclosed wealth.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayesh granted the remand today when he was produced before the court with 7-day remand plea.
 
Criminal Investigation Department on January 13 arrested Enamul, vice-president of Gendaria thana Awami League, and Rupon, joint general secretary of the same unit, from Keraniganj area. 
 
They were staying at a rented house in Keraniganj where they were trying to prepare fake passports to flee the country. 
 
The brothers were shareholders of Wanderers Club in the capital's Fakirapool.
