Equity indices of both the stock exchanges reported mixed performances during the early hour of the trading session on Wednesday amid investors' selling share to book capital gain.

In the first hour, DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), dropped 0.26% or 15 points to 5,709.

However, DSE turnover rose by 8% to Tk513.90 crore till 11:00 am.

DSE had 134 gainers against 133 losers, while prices of 81 scrips remained unchanged during the corresponding period.

Beximco Limited secured the apex position on the DSE turnover chart, followed by NRBC Bank and National Feed Mill.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained 2.87 points to 16,569 till 11:00 am
