World Tourism Day: President, PM stress collective effort for development of tourism sector
The premier noted that the tourist destinations should be introduced to local and foreign tourists through mass media

Bangladesh as well as other countries across the world is all set to celebrate the World Tourism Day on Sunday at a time when the contagious coronavirus is wreaking havoc on humans.
Marking the occasion, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages and urged all to work together for the development of the sector.
In his message, the President said there is a huge potential for the development of the tourism industry in Bangladesh.
"I urge all, including government and non-government organisations to work together for the development of the tourism industry as well as for the national economic development upholding local culture, traditions and values," he said.
In a separate message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the private entrepreneurs to supplement the government efforts in flourishing the sector.
"Let us work together and build a Golden Bangladesh as dreamt by the Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.", she said.
The premier also noted that the tourist destinations should be introduced to local and foreign tourists through mass media.
