Trust bus owner, driver sued over Bangla Motor accident
The case was filed on Wednesday afternoon
Bangladesh Inland Water Transportation Corporation (BIWTC) authorities filed a case against the driver, helper and owner of a Trust Transport Services bus over Tuesday's Bangla Motor accident.
"The case was filed on Wednesday afternoon," confirmed Rashid, officer-in-charge of capital's Hatirjheel Police Station.
On Tuesday afternoon, a speeding bus of Trust Transport Service lost control, drove onto the sidewalk, and hit BIWTC Assistant Manager Krishna Rai Chowdhury.
Two youths rescued Krishna and took her to the nearby Holy Family Hospital in a critical condition. As her situation started to deteriorate, she was sent to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor) after primary treatment. Doctors at Nitor later had to amputate her left leg to save her.
