Addatimes' first web film Karma’s publicity campaign held in Bangladesh
Addatimes “Karma” team along with its lead actress Pritha Sengupta has come to Bangladesh
Addatimes original movie "Karma" which was released on 3 December is generating a huge response across Bangladesh and Kolkata.
Directed by noted film-maker Arnab Riingo Banerjee, the revenge thriller stars Pritha Sengupta alongside, Shaheb Bhattacharya, Saoli Chattopadhyay, Duke Bose, Piya Debnath and Sanghamitra Talukder among others.
Addatimes "Karma" team along with its lead actress Pritha Sengupta has come to Bangladesh as part of its publicity campaign to promote the movie.
The Business Standard had a small conversation with the beautiful actress at a restaurant in Dhaka's Gulshan area.
The actress, expressing her excitement said," This is the first time I am playing a lead role in a movie. Previously, I have worked in lots of commercials and did small roles in movies. I didn't realise that the psychological aspect of the revenge movie would be highly appreciated by both the people from Kolkata and Bangladesh."
Pritha Sengupta was amazed by the stupendous response and love from the Bangladeshi audience.
The actress said, "Both Bangladesh and Kolkata is same to me. I have seen the acting calibers by Bangladeshi actors and I have tried to adapt the strong traits in my acting as well. I will be truly honoured if I get to share screen space with such talented actors in the future."
"I am a fan of Jaya Ahsan, Shakib Khan and Mosharraf Karim. I would love to act with them if I ever get the chance."
Apart from acting, the beautiful actress also pursues teaching profession. Pritha Sengupta also shared about her favourite memories in theatres and her love for classical dance.
The actress shared her the stories about the shooting as well. She said, "The shooting of the movie started in July when the pandemic was still on rise. Director Riingo Banerjee had to complete the shooting on a small budget and with a small crew member. Fortunately, Riingo Banerjee was able to arrange the thing smoothly and the film was completed in a short time."
Pritha Sengupta revealed that her ancestral house lies in Bangladesh. She would love to visit there when she comes to Bangladesh next time.
Addatimes Bangladesh's Head of Marketing revealed the huge response "Karma" got on the streaming site.
Nusrat Jarin said, "We have got reports that 92 thousand people have watched the movie 'Karma.' The movie has generated more than 2 lakh views in both Kolkata and Bangladesh in a single day."
