Sanaul Hoq joins DSE as managing director

Kazi Sanaul Hoq joined the Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited (DSE) on Sunday as the new managing director.

Prior to joining the DSE, he served in various banks and financial institutions including managing director at Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB), managing director at Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), and managing director at Karmasangstan Bank, a DSE press release said.

He has completed his BCom (Honours) and MCom on accounting from the University of Dhaka.

Starting his career as a senior officer in the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh in 1984, he served in different positions at the same organisation.

On January 9, the Board of Directors of the DSE selected him for the managing director post and sent the appointment proposal to the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission for final approval.

The Securities and Exchange Commission approved it on January 23.
