Biman Bangladesh Airlines has launched flight operation on the Chattogram-Sylhet route on Wednesday, marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The maiden flight took off from Shah Amanat International Airport of Chattogram around 11:50am, with some 74 passengers on board.
According to Biman sources, the flight will be operated two days a week on the route. It will take around one hour to reach Sylhet from Chattogram.
On the 101st birth anniversary of Bangabandhu, the passengers have enjoyed 18% discount on tickets.
Tickets can be purchased from the national flag carrier's mobile apps, websites, travel agents, tour operators, call centers and sales counters.
