8 Old Dhaka buildings locked down as coronavirus patient identified

Eight buildings have been put under lockdown in Old Dhaka's Nazimuddin Road's Ali Nekir Dewri area on Wednesday night after a coronavirus patient was detected there.
Bangshal Police Station's Officer-in-Charge Shahin Fakir has confirmed it to The Business Standard.
Lockdown has been imposed in more than 50 areas and roads in Dhaka city since the coronavirus outbreak began here.
Till date, out of total 218 coronavirus patients in the country, 123 are from Dhaka city, according to the data of IEDCR.
So far 20 people have died in Bangladesh from the deadly virus, that has already claimed 83,615 lives globally and infected 1,452,378 people.
