Trains’ speed fixed to 10 km after cracks found in Tangail rail line

Railway authorities have instructed trains to run at a maximum speed of 10 kilometers per hour through the affected places as cracks found in Tangail rail line.
Cracks were found in the rail line of Mosinda area of Kalihati in Tangail.
As a result, the train service between Dhaka and North-Western lines was snapped on Sunday from 7am to 8.30 am.
Authorities instructions came although the damage repairing works of the railway line is going on.
Tangail Assistant Station Master Mohammad Shaheen Mia said that some 6 cracks had appeared on the railway line in Mosinda area.
"In order to avoid accidents, trains in the affected areas are moving at a speed of 10 kilometers," he added.
Rubel Rana, a gateman at Mosinda Railcrossing, said that he saw the cracks first when he arrived on duty at 8am and later informed the authorities.
