Professor Dr Nazrul Islam has recently joined the Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) as its new Pro-Vice-Chancellor on October 1.

A welcoming ceremony was held at the Corporate Office of the University to mark the start of his tenure, read a press release.

Prior to joining NUB, Dr Islam had served several universities of the country, including the School of Business at Canadian University of Bangladesh as Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Dean, the press release added.

He also worked as a researcher at Khulna University, BRAC, North-South, East-West and Eastern Universities.

At the welcoming ceremony, Prof Islam acknowledged Professor Dr Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah, chairman of the Northern University Bangladesh Trust and Vice-Chancellor of Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna for appointing him as a Pro-Vice-Chancellor (D).

Treasurer, Professor Dr Mohammad Ekramol Islam; IT Director, Saad-Al-Zabir Abdullah, were present at the event among others.
