Jamuna Bank manager detained for embezzling Tk12.16cr

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has detained manager of Jamuna Bank for his alleged involvement in embezzling around Tk12.16 crore from the bank in Bogura.

The detainee is Shawgat Arman, Jamuna Bank's Bogura branch manager.

ACC Assistant Commissioner Aminul Islam said, "Officials of Bogura integrated district office arrested him on Tuesday night as the bank authorities had complained against Shawgat for embezzling the money."

Officer-in-Charge of Bogura Sadar Police Station Md Humayun Kabir said, "He is in police custody now and will be produced before the court today after filing of the case."
