Wolves have room for improvement, says Nuno

Wolves have not tasted defeat since their 4-0 loss to West Ham United in September and their impressive run has seen them climb to sixth in the table, just three points adrift of league-leaders Southampton with a game in hand.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have won three of their last four Premier League games but manager Nuno Espirito Santo has urged his side not to get carried away by their recent form ahead of Sunday's trip to Leicester City.

Wolves have not tasted defeat since their 4-0 loss to West Ham United in September and their impressive run has seen them climb to sixth in the table, just three points adrift of league-leaders Southampton with a game in hand.

"The team is not in great form, the team has a lot of things to improve," Nuno told reporters. "The beginning of the season has been hard but we've been able to produce good performances. To say the team is in great form is not correct.

"You can see that football has changed, the dynamics have changed a lot... you're seeing crazy results, so you cannot think that you are already there because you are not.

"Football is made of ups and downs, so we have to be ready. It would be absurd for me to say here that we are perfect because we're not."

Wolves have coped well with the loss of Diogo Jota, who moved to Liverpool in the close season and has since netted seven times in 10 games, including a hat-trick against Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Nuno said he was delighted to see the 23-year-old Portugal forward thrive in his new environment.

"We are very happy for Diogo," Nuno added. "He is enjoying his football, enjoying his momentum, he is doing amazing for Liverpool. For us, we worked together for four seasons and when a player goes and succeeds, it makes us happy."
