Tamim becomes the first Bangladeshi to reach 6000 T20 runs

Tamim Iqbal is the highest run-scorer for Bangladesh in all three formats of the game. Today he reached yet another milestone. He became the first Bangladeshi to score 6000 runs in T20 cricket. He achieved this feat in 212 innings and became the 10th quickest in the all-time list, quicker than the likes of Rohit Sharma and AB De Villiers.
Tamim danced down the wicket to hit a six over long-off which took his run tally from 25 to 31 today against Beximco Dhaka. With this hit, he entered the six thousand' club where he is the tenth quickest batsman in the world to achieve this. He has the likes of Chris Gayle, Brendan McCullum, David Warner, Virat Kohli in front of him in the list.
The southpaw, however, went back to the pavilion shortly after reaching the milestone.
Apart from him, Shakib Al Hasan has 5000 runs in T20 cricket which he reached a few days ago, and Mushfiqur Rahim barely reached 4 thousand' club.
