BFF plans to bring former World Cup stars for Bangabandhu Gold Cup
BFF already shortlisted stars like Ronaldinho, Paolo Maldini, Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten and Didier Drogba.
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) planned to bring one or two former world cup stars for the upcoming Bangabandhu Gold Cup to create mass hype for the meet.
The tournament is scheduled to be held from January 15 to 25. The draw will likely be on January 4.
BFF already shortlisted the likes of Ronaldinho, Paolo Maldini, Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten and Didier Drogba.
Six Asian countries -- Sri Lanka, Laos, Cambodia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and hosts Bangladesh -- will take part in the sixth version of the meet.
Earlier, the tournament was scheduled to start in November 2019, but it deferred till January next year as the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the BFF decided to start 'Mujib Borsho' programme through an international tournament.
The last Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football Tournament was held in the capital in October 2018.
