Female entrepreneurs and fashion designers from Dhaka and Chattogram are displaying their products at a three-day long Winter Fest in Chattogram.
Chattogram-based boutique house Alin's Vogue is organising the fair featuring local and foreign clothing, cosmetics and jewelleries, and it will continue until Wednesday.
Khadijatul Anwar Soni, member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Jute and Textiles, inaugurated the fair Monday at Muradpur Barcode Food Junction in Chattogram.
Speaking on the occasion, Khadijatul Anwar Soni said women entrepreneurs are contributing to the national economy. Unemployed women are turning into successful entrepreneurs and they are helping the country's development flourish further.
"The government is working so that women entrepreneurs can market their products effectively through networking," she said.
Alin's Vogue owner Alina Menhaz presided over the inauguration while Make-up Shake-up Admin Juhi Chowdhury, Barcode Restaurant Group's Co-Founder Wahida Sara Luna, Diamond Team's Advisers Abu Taher Chowdhury and Muhammad Obaidur Rahman and President Ilius Ripon attended the function as chief guests.
