Brac Bank introduces Golden Fixed Deposit for senior citizens

Brac Bank has introduced a new Fixed Deposit (FD) product – Golden Fixed Deposit – designed exclusively to serve the valued clients aged 60 years and above.

Brac Bank Golden Fixed Deposit requires a minimum of Tk1 lakh to open an FD. It comes with attractive interest rates depending on deposits between Tk1 lakh to Tk3 crore and above, with a tenure of 30 days to three years, reads a press release.

The bank launched the Golden Fixed Deposit on 22 October 2020, on the occasion of International Day for Older Persons that is observed on 1 October each year.

"We are offering greater interest rates through Brac Bank Golden Fixed Deposit, even in the declining interest-rate regime as our tribute to our senior citizens. We believe the Golden Fixed Deposit will help them to create a good pension fund on their long-term deposit and enhance their benefits," said Mahiul Islam, Head of Retail Banking at Brac Bank.

Brac Bank also offers an array of saving scheme for senior citizens.
