AKM Shaheed Reza new chairman of Mercantile Bank Foundation
Prominent businessman and sponsor director of Mercantile Bank Ltd AKM Shaheed Reza has been elected as the chairman of Mercantile Bank Foundation, said a press release on Sunday.
Morshed Alam, chairman of Mercantile Bank Ltd and its other board of directors congratulated this new chairman at an event at the bank's head office with flower wreath.
The outgoing Chairman of the foundation M Amanullah, the bank's Directors ASM Feroz Alam, Md Abdul Hannan, Al-Haj Mosharref Hossain, MA Khan Belal, Sponsor Shareholder Shahidul Ahsan, and Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, managing director and chief executive of the bank were present on the occasion.
AKM Shaheed Reza was also the chairman of Mercantile Bank Limited for a two-year period. He is the chairman of Reza Group, a renowned export-oriented textile and apparel company.
