Chattogram sees record 59 coronavirus cases in one day
Previously, the highest number of Covid-19 infections in Chattogram was 13 in a day

Chattogram saw its highest ever single-day coronavirus cases on Thursday, with 59 people testing positive with the virus since the previous day.
Previously, the highest number of Covid-19 infections in the port city was 13 in a day.
Although the test results came out on Thursday, the authorities announced the result on Friday. Two laboratories in the district came up with the number after collected 259 samples.
Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said, "Among the 59 coronavirus positive patients, 57 hail from Chattogram, one from Cox's Bazar and the other one is from Khagrachari."
