IPDC pays interest in advance to let depositors stay home
Officials of the financial institution are working from home to provide service to all customers
IPDC Finance Limited has paid interest in advance to its depositors so that they can stay at home and help contain the coronavirus from spreading.
IPDC has taken up this unusual initiative to help their customers relax, the financial institution said in a press release on Saturday.
As the government declared a general holiday from March 26 to April 4, IPDC has paid in advance all monthly and fortnightly interest applicable till April 5 this year.
Moreover, officials of IPDC are working from home to provide service to all customers.
"This is an exceptional initiative in a moment of crisis," said Md Ali Abdullah, one of its depositors.
"I conduct transactions through several other institutions, but such customer-friendly initiatives are rare. I cordially thank IPDC for their assistance."
Mominul Islam, managing director and CEO of IPDC, said they always put customer satisfaction before everything.
"It is mandatory for us to stay at our residences in the present condition. We are trying to help our customers stay relaxed and safe in their homes."
