Leaders of Muslim Oikya Parishad is going to hold a rally at 3pm today in Bhola Sadar despite the district administration imposing a ban on public gatherings.

Mawlana Tariqul Islam, member of the parishad and general secretary of Islami Shashontantra Andolan of Bhola, said, "We will hold a rally in front of Hatkhola mosque today as our demands have not been met yet,. No one has even promised to meet the demands."

"We will continue our movement until our demands are met," he added.

Bhola Sadar police station's Officer-in-Charge Enayet Hossain said, "We will not allow any rally as a ban has been imposed in the district."

"Additional law enforcers have been deployed while Border Guard Bangladesh and Rapid Action Battalion personnel have already been deployed since Sunday," the OC added.

The district administration Monday imposed a ban on processions, meetings and rallies in the district until further notice following Sunday's fierce clash that killed four and injured hundreds of people.
