The newly elected mayor of Brahmanbaria Sadar municipality Nayer Kabir and the councilors took charge at the makeshift office on the road in front of the municipality on Thursday.

Speaking at the occasion, Mayor Nayer Kabir expressed grievance over the current predicament and said "We are trying to resume the public service as early as we can but without the cooperation of all it won't be possible."
Municipality Secretary Shamsuddin, Executive Engineer Nikash Chandra Mitra, Assistant Engineer Md Kauser Ahmed and Accounts Officer Md Kauser were present at the event.
Earlier on 28 February, Nayer Kabir was elected as the mayor for the second time in the Brahmanbaria municipality election. He is the vice president of Brahmanbaria district Awami League.
