ACC clears chargesheet against SK Sinha
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday approved a chargesheet against 11 people, including former Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, for their reported embezzlement of Tk 4 crore.
Confirming the decision taken at a meeting of the anti-graft body, ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said the former chief justice was cleared in one case but included in the chargesheet of another which will be submitted to court soon.
On July 10, the ACC filed a case against 11 people, including the ex-chief justice and former Farmers Bank managing director and CEO AKM Shameem accusing them of accumulating illegal wealth and plundering Tk 4 crore by abusing power.
