Shakib, batting in at four, scored 29 off 22. This is his highest T20 innings since his return from suspension.

Mohammedan Sporting Club have started off their DPL 2019/20 campaign with a win over Shinepukur Cricket Club in Savar on Monday. The Shakib Al Hasan-led Mohammedan won by three wickets in the thrilling last over finish.

Shinepukur set a target of 126 for Mohammedan. Young opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim top-scored for Shinepukur with a run-a-ball 30.

Mohammedan skipper Shakib picked up two for 29 in four overs. 

Mohammedan went past Shinepukur's total with one delivery to spare. Parvez Hossain Emon scored 39 off 39 with the help of four fours.

Shakib, batting in at four, scored 29 off 22. His innings involved a couple of boundaries. This is his highest T20 innings since his return from suspension. 

Meanwhile, Prime Bank Cricket Club thumped Gazi Group Cricketers by seven wickets in a rain-curtailed match. 

Gazi Group Cricketers batted first in the 12-over a side match. They scored 91 for five in 12 overs.

In reply, Prime Bank raced to the target in 9.2 overs thanks to Tamim Iqbal's onslaught. The southpaw scored 46 off 22 balls. He struck two fours and five maximums.

In the other afternoon game, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club beat Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity by 22 runs.
