James Anderson has reached the landmark of 600 Test wickets, the first fast bowler in the history of Test cricket to do so.

The 38-year old dismissed Pakistan captain Azhar Ali to achieve this unique feat.

He became the fourth bowler overall to take 600 Test wickets.

He narrowly missed out on the record of breaking Muttiah Muralitharan's record of becoming the fastest bowler to 600 Test wickets in terms of balls bowled.

1st Test wicket: Mark Vermuelen (2003)
100th Test wicket: Jacques Kallis (2008)
200th Test wicket: Peter Siddle (2010)
300th Test wicket: Peter Fulton (2013)
384th Test wicket: Denesh Ramdin (2015, passing Ian Botham's tally of 383)
400th Test wicket: Martin Guptill (2015)
500th Test wicket: Kraigg Brathwaite (2017)
564th Test wicket: Mohammed Shami (2018, passing Glenn McGrath's tally of 563)
600th Test wicket: Azhar Ali
