If Bangladesh don't win next World Cup, I'll play till 2027: Shakib
“Bangladesh will win the 2023 World Cup In Sha Allah, because it is my last World Cup. If we don’t win it, then I’ll play until 2027.”
Bangladesh's ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has revealed that he believes Bangladesh will win the 2023 World Cup.
The left-hander feels that it will be his last World Cup, but if Bangladesh doesn't win it, he will play international cricket till the next World Cup in 2027.
"Bangladesh will win the 2023 World Cup In Sha Allah, because it is my last World Cup. If we don't win it, then I'll play until 2027," he said during a live interview on Daraz's Facebook page.
Shakib is currently in India, in quarantine, ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he will play for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
The 34-year-old has opted to play in the IPL instead of the Test matches against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka as he feels it will help him prepare better for the T20 World Cup, which happens later this year in India.
