IBBL inaugurates 13 new sub-branches
IBBL contributes significantly to the national foreign exchange reserve by collecting one-third of Bangladesh’s expatriates’ remittances
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) inaugurated 13 new sub-branches across the country at a virtual platform on Monday.
The new branches are at: Dhamrai Bazar, Chiriakhana Road, Faidabad, Urdu Road, Rayerbag and Meradia of Dhaka; Baluchora of Chattogram; Mirer Bazar and Shafipur Bazar of Gazipur; Nathullabad and Banglabazar of Barishal; Moilapota Moor of Khulna; and Jajira of Shariatpur, read a press release.
Md Mahbub ul Alam, managing director and CEO of the bank, was present at the program as its chief guest. Mohammed Monirul Moula, Muhammad Qaisar Ali and Md Omar Faruk Khan, the additional managing directors of the bank, addressed the program as its special guests.
Md Mosharraf Hossain, deputy managing director, presided over the program while Md Mahboob Alam, senior executive vice president of the bank, gave the welcome speech during the event.
High officials of the bank, the heads of the zones and branches concerned, executives, officials, clients, well-wishers, and dignitaries participated in the local functions and were also present at the virtual program.
Md Mahbub ul Alam said, "Islami Bank is the bank of mass people. The bank has been able to achieve excellence in all indicators of business due to the people's trust and love toward professionalism and sense of responsibility of the employees of IBBL."

He said, "IBBL is currently serving its clients through: 366 branches, 144 sub-branches, 1,773 agent banking outlets, as well as 1,175 own and about 11,000 shared ATM and CRM booths."
"IBBL is one step ahead with the use of financial technology and digital banking services," he added, expressing his firm determination to continue this trend. He directed the officials to work to improve the standards of living of the people by providing inclusive modern banking services, in their respective areas, through these new sub-branches.
