Bank Asia distributes Tk5cr to CMSME entrepreneurs
Bank Asia distributed cheques of Tk5 crore in total to CMSME entrepreneurs as a partner of "Credit Wholesaling Program '' of SME Foundation.
The allocation was made under the second stimulus package announced by the government, reads a press release.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun was the Chief Guest of the cheque handover programme which was held at the auditorium of the ministry on 27 May.

State Minister Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Secretary Zakia Sultana, and Bank Asia's President Md Arfan Ali were special guests of the programme.
The programme was moderated by Dr Md Mofizur Rahman, managing director of SME Foundation.
The checks were distributed among 89 entrepreneurs including eight who were physically present at the programme.
Mohammad Ziaul Hasan Molla, deputy managing director and Md Shaminoor Rahman, Head of MSME and Agriculture Division, Bank Asia Ltd., along with other officials of the Bank and SME Foundation, were present at the programme.
Entrepreneurs are benefited with a loan facility at 4% interest which needs to be reimbursed through 24 equal monthly installments.
