17 fined Tk 12450 in Badda for not wearing masks
The convicted ones have deposited the fines immediately and received a slip from the authorities.
The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has fined some seventeen people TK 12450 for not wearing masks in Badda Link Road area on Wednesday noon.
Tajwar Akaram, an executive magistrate of the DNCC, confirmed the information to The Business Standard.
He, along with two other magistrates, conducted mobile courts in the Link Road area and fined the 17 under the Communicable Disease (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act, said Tajwar.
The convicted ones have deposited the fines immediately and received a slip from the authorities, the executive magistrate mentioned.
During the drives, awareness campaign was conducted among all walks of people and masks were distributed among the indigent ones.
The city corporation will continue its drive to make people wear masks.
