Youth arrested for alleged attempt to kill mother

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a youth this morning from Panthapath in the city allegedly on charge of attempt to murder his mother.

The name of the arrestee is Millat Hossain. The RAB recovered a gun and three round bullets from his possession.

Confirming the matter, Major HM Parvez Arifin, company commander of RAB-2 said, "Millat is a drug addict and used to beat up his mother for money to buy narcotics."

On May 7, when Millat had beaten up his mother, she filled a case in this connection at Kolabagan police station. Since then RAB was looking for him.
