Saaf offers fully-funded scholarships to Brac University students
The scholarship programme will start in the upcoming spring session in January this year, said a media statement issued on Wednesday.
Suhana and Anis Ahmed Foundation (Saaf), a philanthropic foundation, has announced a 100% scholarship for the selected students of Brac University.
The scholarship programme will start in the upcoming spring session in January this year, said a media statement issued on Wednesday.
A total of six students each semester will be assisted in their journey of higher education through this need- and merit-based scholarship.
Commenting on the initiative, Anis Ahmed, co-founder and trustee of Saaf, said they are happy to commence a meaningful chapter with Brac University with scholarships helping brilliant minds to achieve their life's goals.
After starting its journey in 2009, Saaf has stretched its educational support towards the students of Blind Education and Rehabilitation Development Organisation (BERDO), Umbrella Foundation, Bidyanondo Foundation, Anwara Mannaf Foundation and Autistic Children's Welfare Foundation.
This is the first time the foundation is broadening its endorsement towards the university-goers out.
To ensure the most effective selection process, Brac University and Saaf have formed a selection committee, comprising a variety of educators, and professionals containing teachers, faculties, and others.
Suhana and Anis Ahmed Foundation envisions that this scholarship opportunity will not only be a great gift to the future of the students, but also will strengthen the partnership between Saaf and Brac University even more in the upcoming years.
