An alleged drug dealer was stabbed to death at Anandanagar in capital’s Merul-Badda area on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Nasir, 35.
Being informed by locals, law enforcers rushed Nasir, with knife injuries at different parts of his body, to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead on Saturday night, said Rafiqul Islam, officer- in-charge (OC) of Badda Police Station.
Primary investigations indicated that conflicts among the team members who are involved in drug dealing with Nasir might have been behind the murder, noted Rafiqul Islam.
Meanwhile, police have arrested one Arif, an associate of Nasir in his drug dealing business, in connection with the killing.
Police is further investigating the incident to find out the killers and exact motive behind the murder.
