A drug addict man killed his pregnant wife and two kids in Baharkachna area at Rangpur early today.

The arrestee –s Abdur Razzak, 35. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained him from his residence in Kachna bridge village of Baharkachna area.

The deceased are Razzak's wife Ratna Begum, 32, daughter Neha Begum, 2 and son Nishat, 1.

Kazi Mottakin Ibne, deputy commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police, said, "RAB arrested Razzak after being informed by the locals. He is being interrogated now."

Police said, Razzak allegedly killed Ratna over a family feud in the morning by slitting her throat. Later he strangled two kids with pillow.

Razzak was heard by his neighbors while trying to commit suicide. Later locals handed him over to police.

The bodies were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy, added the DC.
