The HC bench, consisting of Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman, passed the order after the hearing on the bail petition.
The HC bench said, they could not allow Minni’s bail without having her confessional statement to Barguna court reviewed, while clarifying that under the circumstance the court can only issue a rule regarding the reason for not giving the bail, the court added.
Advocate ZI Khan Panna, Minni’s lawyer, subsequently withdrew the bail petition.
Advocate Panna appeared at the court in favor of the petitioner, while Momtaz Uddin Fakir, additional attorney general, represented the state.
