Bangladesh star cricketer Shakib Al Hasan and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza have recently vented out their anger against several officials of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) through the media. BCB director Khaled Mahmud Sujon thinks that these a little embarrassing for the cricket fraternity and has suggested not giving much importance to those comments.

Shakib was the first to come out with a heavy criticism against Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Akram Khan and High Performance (HP) Unit Chairman Naimur Rahman Durjoy on March 20 during a live session with Cricfrenzy. Mashrafe then talked to a few media outlets, including an exclusive interview with The Business Standard (TBS), where he made several serious allegations against the board directors and selectors.

Sujon, however, however, was highly praised by two-star cricketers of Bangladesh cricket. Besides, they have said that Sujon is the most trusted place for cricketers.

Although Sujon did not want to comment on these, he thought that they may have said these things due to some grief.

"I really don't want to comment on that. I mean, it's a little embarrassing," said Sujon to the media on Saturday.

"Both of them are cricket icons in our country. Mashrafe is an icon, one of the most successful captains, I would say a legend. The captain who brought Bangladesh cricket out of the abyss. Shakib is one of the best in the world and the best performer Bangladesh ever had. What they said probably came from anger and sorrow."

"I don't know if the words are coming from woe. The directors of the cricket board try their best for our cricket. They (Shakib-Mashrafe) have given their personal opinion. I don't think we should give as much importance as we are giving" he added.

Under such circumstances, the relationship between cricketers and board officials has deteriorated considerably. However, Sujon thinks that BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon will solve the problems. The BCB director claims that these issues will be resolved very soon.
