Shyam Sunder appointed BTRC chairman

Retired Senior Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder has been appointed as the chariman of Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC)​ for the next three years on condition of canceling all work-relation with other organisations.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this connection on Monday according to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulation Act, 2001.

He was also given the honor of senior secretary post and all its facilities and appointed as the chairman of BTRC as per the same act, the notification read.
