‘Ensure proper use of medicine allotted for govt hospitals’

The Health Service Division of the Health Ministry has directed authorities concerned for ensuring proper use of medicine allotted in government hospitals for normal patients as per rules on time through coordination amid the coronavirus situation.

The heath service division issued a notice on this regard on Sunday.

After beginning of coronavirus pandemic, along with setting up different hospitals as Covid-19 dedicated hospitals, the treatment of Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 patients is going on simultaneously in some hospitals, said the release.

As the number of non-Covid-19 patients has been decreased in different hospitals currently, there is a fear that stocked medicines allotted in different hospitals for normal patients could remain unused and could be expired.

Amid this, the division has asked the civil surgeons and divisional director of DGHS to ensure for proper use of the medicine
