DU student among 3 youths killed in Cox’s Bazar road accident

Three youths including two siblings and a Dhaka University student have been killed in a road accident on Cox's Bazar -Chattogram highway.
The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon when a Cox's Bazar bound covered van rammed a motorcycle carrying the three youths in Zindabazar area under Chakaria upazila.
The victims are DU student Amzad Hossain Rifat, 22 hailing from Alipur village and two siblings-- Tarekul Islam Niloy, 23 and Tanjilur Rahman, 19 hailing from Bazarpara of Harbang union.
Rifat and Niloy, who are friends, died on the spot while Tanjilur died in Chattogram Medical College and Hospital.
Chiringa Highway Police Outpost In-Charge Inspector Anisur Rahman confirmed to The Business Standard about the accident, saying that police have seized the covered van and motorcycle of the accident. Legal action is being taken regarding the accident, Anisur Rahman added.
