Police could not, but RAB finds illegal liquors at Fu Wang Club

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has raided Fu Wang Club at Tejgaon-Gulshan link road in the capital tonight, two days after Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted a raid there.

Did the police arrive at Fu Wang too late?

Police then could find neither any evidence of illegal gambling nor illegal alcohol there. However, RAB-1 team found a few thousand cans of beer and illegal liquor at the club tonight.

RAB Legal and Media Wing Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan has confirmed the matter.

A team of the elite force started the raid at 11:30pm, the same time another RAB team detained Mohammedan Sporting Club Director Lokman Hossain for quizzing him over illegal casino and gambling at the club.

"The raid is underway at the Fu Wang Club," the RAB spokesman added.
