Some 217 more Bangladeshi migrant workers returned home from Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
They arrived in two separate flights of Saudi Airlines at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
A flight of Saudi Airlines SV-804 carrying 103 Bangladeshi workers landed at the airport at 11:20pm while another flight of the airlines SV-802 carrying 114 Bangladeshi landed at 1:10am.
A total of 2,500 Bangladeshi expatriates have returned home from Saudi Arabia in the last three weeks, according to Brac Migration Programme.
According to data from Expatriate Welfare Desk, a total of 64,638 Bangladeshi workers have returned home in 2019.
Among them, 25,789 returned from Saudi Arabia; 15,289 returned from Malaysia; 6,117 returned from the United Arab Emirates; 7,366 returned from Oman; 2,525 returned from the Maldives; 2,012 returned from Qatar; 1,448 returned from Bahrain and 479 returned from Kuwait.
