The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has proposed a budget for the financial year 2021-22. The total expenditure for the budget is BDT 260 crore. BCB president Nazmul Hassan said this after the meeting of the board of directors of the BCB on Tuesday.
In addition to the budget proposal, the officials also finalised the date of the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM will be held on July 7.
The BCB allocates money from the budget to different committees, such as the cricket management department, logistics department, game development department, tournament committee, women's team, age group etc.
The BCB's cricket management department gets priority in the allocation list. Starting from the central contract of the national team, the department determines the salaries of the cricketers who are out of the central contract, the salaries of the coaching staff etc. The committee has the responsibility of hosting tours as well.
A few more important decisions have been taken at the meeting including the formation a shadow national team called 'Bangladesh Tigers' to take care of cricketers outside the national team. The number of cricketers in the women's team has been increased from 18 to 22.
