Disney+ on Monday has revealed the cast for the much awaited Star wars series "Obi-Wan Kenobi".

CNN reports that 10 new popular faces will be joining the prequel including Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi" is set ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie will be part of the series. 

Disney + did not reveal the details on their character but confirmed that the production will start in April.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi" will be directed by Deborah Chow whose credits include two episodes of "The Mandalorian".
