US-Bangla Airlines has brought back a number of Bangladeshis stranded in Bangkok by a special flight amid coronavirus outbreak.

The flight carrying 48 Bangladeshis including the body of a Bangladeshi man, landed at Shahjalal International Airport on Friday, the private airline said in a press release.

The flight left Bangkok International Airport at 4:20 pm.

During this time of pandemic, US-Bangla has led the first special flight for bringing back stranded Bangladeshis.

It urged only Bangladeshis to contact 13605 or 01777777800-806 for reserving tickets for these special flights.

Earlier in the day, the airline announced that it will operate special flights to bring back Bangladeshis who were stranded in Chennai and Kolkata due to countrywide lockdown in India amid coronavirus outbreak.

Kamrul Islam, General Manager (Public Relations) of US-Bangla Airlines, said they will operate six special flights on Chennai-Dhaka route from April 20-25.

Two more special flights will bring back Bangladeshis from Kolkata on April 21 and April 23, he added.
