Woman commits suicide jumping off roof
The husband said Fatema had been suffering from mental illness for the last eight years and received treatment.
A woman has killed herself by jumping off a five-storey building outside the Kashimpur Central Jail 1 compound in Gazipur.
She was identified as Fatema Begum, 40.
She was the wife of prison guard Mizanur Rahman.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning.
Mizanur said, “We were all sleeping and suddenly there were screams. I came down and saw Fatema on the ground. She was bleeding.”
“I took her to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared her dead,” he added.
Doctor Pranay Bhushan Das of the hospital said Fatema was already dead when she was brought to the hospital.
The husband said Fatema had been suffering from mental illness for the last eight years and received treatment.
“Earlier, she was kept in a mental hospital for two months.”
Fatema left behind two daughters and a son.
