Govt approves new agricultural university in Kurigram

The government has decided to set up an agricultural university in Kurigram.

The cabinet has approved a draft act in this regard and finalised its name as Kurigram Agricultural University.

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam made the disclosure at a press briefing at the secretariat this afternoon, reports Prothom Alo.

With the latest one, the number of public universities will rise to 49. Apart from these, there are 107 private universities in the country.
