11 officers-in-charge transferred in capital
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police Headquarters issued an order in this regard on Tuesday
Eight officers-in-charge (OC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police have been transferred to different police stations in the capital on Tuesday amid recent criticism over some police officials' involvement in the casino business.
Besides, three officers-in-charge have been transferred to different detective branches of the police. In this regard, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Headquarters issued an order on Tuesday.
According to the order, Md Abu Bakar Siddiq of Vatara Police Station, Md Mostajirur Rahman of Khilkhet Police Station, Md Mizanur Rahman of Shampur Police Station and Mohammad Yasir Arafat Khan (police inspector) of Kalabagan Police Station have been transferred to Paltan Model Police Station, Mirpur Model Police Station, Kotwali Police Station and Motijheel Police Station respectively.
Besides, Poritosh Chandra, inspector (investigation) of Uttara-East Police Station, Mokteruzzaman, inspector (investigation) of Airport Police Station, Md Mofijul Alam, inspector (investigation) of Shabujbag Police Station and Mohammad Borhan Uddin, inspector (investigation) of Banani Police Station have been transferred to Kalabagan Police Station, Vatara Police Station, Shampur Police Station, and Khilkhet Police Station respectively.
The three officers-in-charge, who have been transferred to the detective branch's north, south and west divisions are: Md Omar Faruq, OC at Motijheel Police Station, Md Dadon Fakir, OC at Mirpur Model Police Station, and Md Shahidur Rahman, OC at Kotowali Police Station.
Authorities concerned have been directed to implement the order immediately.
